Hovering around the freezing mark here. Snow started at 7 a.m. just as predicted. Snow all day they say. Possibility of up to 12 inches, heavy and wet. Wind supposed to pick up later as snow gets thicker. Power outages, tree damage poss. due to weight of snow. Very Norman Rockwell-esque. Lots of birds in their fresh Spring colors at the feeders. Could be worse. ;-)

I haven't seen a proper snow take hold for quite a few years. I love snow but hate slush.

We had that wind and rain from hell come through here too. Had activity that put us under the stairs yesterday. Twisting winds and rain so thick you couldn't see through took sent us under the stairs for cover. Lots of stuff up over fences in the street, and even one motorcycle got lifted and slammed. Frightening stuff when we get those kinda storms here in the south.
Nice and sunny today with downed trees and parts of fences all over the neighborhood. Who knows what hurricane season will bring.

^^^Saw footage this a.m. on storm down your way. Def hellish. I have a spot in my basement where I hunker down when the storms from Hell come. Very scary. Always mean to make it more 'homey' but haven't as of yet. This could be the year! Stay safe you guys~
Just wondering. Do you have a basement?

We are on high ground but there is a lot of water around. Building codes in most areas do not allow for basements. I cut out part of the wall under the stairs accessible from the bathroom. Its tight around some plumbing, but its now a safe reinforced place. I couldn't believe how large that space is. A four foot spot in the master has duct work, but sounds hollow enough for a closet. Cant wait to smash that wall down. Like the stairs, Im sure there is a lot of wasted space.
Stay safe, be well, and peace to all~

Long may the lockdown continue. Clear skies and birdsong are a daily event.
Just proves the real virus is the human race. Is covid actually the antibiotic to fight off humans?

^ Agreed. Went deep sea fishing for tuna with a friend that lives on his boat. Charters are shut down, so he's been after some higher dollar catches to make ends meet. Spotted some whales, and lots of dolphins. Very nice sight to see how healthy the ocean is; its quite blue and clean. He caught yellow fins, mahi, and wahoo which are all around a month early. I caught some whiting on the way back in we ate for dinner. He made enough in the three days to cover his needed payments. That's one fishin' mf'er. I never realized how much they make, nor how expensive boat payments are.

Your reference to 'boat payments' caused me to think of Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers radio show. Mechanics taking in the rubes to keep up on their boat payments. Those guys were so funny~
