Houdini. Stu. Did you catch this in that link:
Seattle is coming to Glasgow! The Moisture Festival, America's biggest annual Variety Festival, is coming to Glasgow for the Merchant City Festival to help raise money for Britannia Panopticon Music Hall. The festival organiser, Ron Bailley, has set up this link to help raise money for flights and accommodation for the visiting performers.
Hahaha.

Hoping my mother is coherent enough tomorrow to now we are having a party for her. Its he only way to get the whole family together for a visit. I got smart and asked everyone to bring something so I don't have to do al the cooking. This party will certainly be our last hurrah in this old house.
Hope all is well with everyone, even though hardly anyone posts anymore. Nice to read y'all when you do though.

Excellent! The Panopticon is a hidden treasure of Glasgow. All we need now is the actual link, bugsworth!

It was from your previous post Stu. www.britanniapanopticon.org/Edit: Houdini, I meant to also say that I hope your party goes well. You're such a good daughter to do this, not to mention the care you give. Hugs.

They have a gofundme account :) What a beautiful place to visit someday with such a rich history, and culture. With my luck I wont want to return, cause I happen to fall in love with the place. We all know my dislike for the NY area.
My heart is filled with happiness knowing my mothers light was actually on today. The family did good today coming all the way here to make her smile. It turned out to be a good drama free day.
Thanks darlin'~ hugs in return.

Houdini, did you know NY city was based on Glasgow? The grid layout was copied from us.
Anyway, almost done working up in Nairn. Get the train from Inverness on Thu back home.

I do not doubt that they copied the original basic grid design from someplace. Its pretty cool they used Glasgow :) Now Im gonna be addicted to looking up many things Glasgow for a hot minute ~ I get like that on my spare time. Last go around it was all things lavender in color. It lasts for a few days, then Im off onto something new again. Yes I know Im strange, and I like me the way I am.

You are not strange at all, Houdini. Everyone is unique.
Guess who is travelling home tomorrow during a train strike. I'm so going stir crazy in this comfy gaol, I'd walk the 200 odd miles. Good thing is, my route is safe.

Walking 200 miles? Sounds like something I would do, at about 20 miles a day. At that rate it would take me ten days, unless someone felt sorry enough for me while trying to hitch a ride. Truckers are usually lonely enough to want to. One time a farmer hauling produce gave me a ride. I think I ate more veggies in an hour than I ever had in my life. I napped until we got to where he had to unload, and I helped out. Talk about earning my food, and ride!
ahh memories... how the world has changed...

Home tomorrow after my shift. Pity no warm welcome... just my amphibian friends to welcome me cos they'll want fed. Ach well... 15 straight days have told on me. Near going mental. I do not want to see one of these vehicles again for a while

HI guys. Well, I'm still shakin' in my neck of the woods. Lost beloved Jeremy due to heart failure (again!) a couple of months ago, and rescued this senior beauty a week later when my home seemed just too empty with no children, grandchildren, or four-legged's. Her name is Kasha - the name she came with - it's Hopi and means 'robed in fur'. She is ever so loving, funny, and a majestic beauty inside and out. Also sharing a pic taken of me last weekend when I had family visiting from Philly and Charlotte and so my close friend and I did a short crystal singing bowls playing for them in my garden. They all really relaxed and loved it. Yay! This was me setting things up before we started. Sending love to you all!

I fell asleep at the beach, and I'm peeling so badly I look like I have a skin disease. Remind me NOT to sleep on the beach, and to WEAR sunblock please. Apparently I don't know how to do either. I cant even put a pair of pants on today, cause my skin is still red (over my great tan).
