Bill Murray was originally considered for the role of Han Solo in Star Wars.
wow! well. that would have been a very different energy than young, beautiful Harrison Ford.

one more...
The scene in 'The Breakfast Club' in which all the characters sit in a circle on the floor of the library and tell stories about why they were in detention was not scripted. Hughes told them all to ad lib.

I love that movie. I found this bit of trivia to put a smile on your face: The film runs for 113 minutes. In that time, the word "fuck" is used 145 times. Not even in the top 10 of sweariest films... by a loooooooong way.... Nil By Mouth averages 3.34/min of finest anglo saxon in 128 mins totalling 428 swearies www.totalfilm.com/features/the-10-sweariest-movies-of-all-timeI learned tonight that "The Wolf of Wall Street" now holds the records - 506 times.

wow - ya think it's gonna become just another word like 'the' or 'it'?
sorta along the same lines, the phrase 'old sport' is said 55 times during the 2013 version of The Great Gatsby.

The stunt double for Stephen Boyd in "Ben Hur" wasn't killed in the famous chariot race. In fact, no one was killed in the making of that film. Where you bodies getting crushed and run over, those were very well designed articulated dummies. Actually, in a previous silent version, one stuntman WAS killed in the chariot race when it was filmed in Italy. However, it was re-shot in the USA and the previous footage was never used.

The Simpsons holds the record for hosting the most guest stars, and is the only show other than variety shows to have had appearances from three remaining musicians that were once in the Beatles. (Paul McCartney , George Harrison, and Ringo Starr)

It's A Wonderful Life (1946)
Did You Know? Frank Capra insisted that George Bailey's workshop include a pet raven for no better reason than that avian star Jimmy was a lucky charm who Capra had cast in all of his films from 1938's You Can't Take It With You onwards.
(I knew this because I saw It's a Wonderful Life at the theater with a friend at Christmas time and the woman that played the daughter Zuzu was a guest there and talked for about an hour about the movie)

That US series called The Tomorrow People is based on a 70s Brit kids show that was even worse than Dr Who n Blake's 7 for dodgy cardboard scenery

Since you brought up Dr Who - David Morrisey who played The Governor on The Walking Dead, was in a 2008 episode of Dr Who in which he thought he was the Doctor.

Clint Eastwood's famous screwed up eyes look in his westerns wasn't down to acting or the strong sun.
He's allergic to horses.
