Barbra Streisand originally wanted Elvis to play the role of John Norman Howard in A Star Is Born (1976), but the studio couldn't meet Tom Parker's demands ($1 million plus equal billing with Streisand).

The Simpsons holds the record for most guest stars. It is also the only series to have had appearances from three of the former Beatles. (Paul, George and Ringo)

For the scene in Alien when the alien comes out of John Hurt's stomach, the actors were not actually told it was going to happen. It shows in their faces.

Marlon Brando stuffed his cheeks with cotton for his audition as Don Corleone in The Godfather. He wanted to look tough, like a bull dog. In the movie a mouth piece was made.

In the movie a mouth piece was made. and won him an Oscar even though he was incoherent back on track.... The Corrs made a fleeting appearance in The Commitments.... a damn fine flick

I love that movie. I found this bit of trivia to put a smile on your face:
The film runs for 113 minutes. In that time, the word "fuck" is used 145 times.
