I never knew the clocks in Pulp Fiction were all at 4:20, but yeah, I was familiar with that implication long ago. I was also aware of the 10:10 or 1:50 thing for clock/watch adverts long ago, but had been told that the purpose was to frame the product's logo as it usually was just below the 12. Just what I was told as a kid.

a lot of clocks with Roman numerals have the four as IIII rather than the correct IV. This was due to James VI of Scotland (1st of England) finding that more aesthetically pleasing as it was more in balance with the 8 on the other side being VIII

Back to the topic.... Sylvia Anderson (Gerry's wife) was the voice of Lady Penelope in Thunderbirds... Gerry's first choice was the actress Fenella Fielding, though

The Clampetts (Beverly Hillbillies) used a pool table in their dining room, and called it "the fancy eating table".

I love that movie. I found this bit of trivia to put a smile on your face: The film runs for 113 minutes. In that time, the word "fuck" is used 145 times. Not even in the top 10 of sweariest films... by a loooooooong way.... Nil By Mouth averages 3.34/min of finest anglo saxon in 128 mins totalling 428 swearies www.totalfilm.com/features/the-10-sweariest-movies-of-all-timeYou lovable brat!!

Was watching a favourite this afternoon and thought of this thread....
Apparently 'Cher performed "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" completely live' in the film Burlesque....
And 'the photo of seven-year-old Ali with her mother is actually a photo of a much younger Christina Aguilera with her real-life mother, Shelly Kearns.'

Seems I killed this thread, so trying to kickstart it again.
Did you know Blazing Saddles was shot on the same set (apart from the shop names, of course) as Westworld?

Keith Coogan that played Brad in "Adventures in Babysitting" is the grandson of Jackie Coogan who played Uncle Fester on the original "The Addams Family".

Star Wars - Mark Hamill annoyed Alec Guinness so much on set (because of his youth and excitement) that Alec paid him a dollar to go away.

Mel Brooks never told Frankie Laine that the theme song 'Blazing Saddles' was for a comedy. Frankie thought it was a dramatic western. Mel was worried Frankie wouldn't sing it with conviction if he knew the truth.

Alfred Hitchcock made cameo appearances in 39 of his own flicks.
Stan Lee's done it for most of the Marvel films. Missed Captain America, I think, due to illness
