Yikes!!! I almost feel guilty sniveling about that white stuff after seeing how much of a dump you got in that last shot. Over the course of an entire 6 month Winter we likely only get an average of 4 - 6 feet total.

Well, I'm kinda starting to wonder if maybe before showing up at station yesterday morning, the weatherman inhaled a few too many fumes when he was fueling up. The thermometer here seems like it's pretty much stuck right at the freezing mark, and every now and then a bit of white fluffy stuff starts wafting down kinda lightly, (melting when it lands thus far) but the "batten down the hatches" horror stories from yesterday's newscast were definitely blown way outta proportion.

Well, after all is said and done, I woke this morning to about 2 inches of fresh snow, perhaps a smidge more. Now I just hope the stuff ain't still here seven months from now.

Well, the snow finally totally quit and the sun came out at about 8 this morning (good couple hours ago now) Fortunately it's been light enough that we only accumulated about 3 or 4 inches. Rumor has it that it should be nice and sunny on Wednesday, and that the temp might even bump above the freezing mark in the afternoon.

^^^ Same here. Rain...
Edit: I'd say rain, rain, go away, but after reading that weather.com article about water shortages I'll try to correct my thinking.

That comment reminded me of a program on eco homes where there's some state in the US where is illegal to collect rain water ... I'm off to look it up now .... Well that didn't take long ... loads on it on t'interwebbythingymajig. Loads of states made it illegal. Unbelievable! How did they manage that! offgridsurvival.com/rainwaterillegal/Read the comments below ... some good stuff .... Does this mean they can be sued for water damage? Or will they throw out the fact that you don’t own your property, they do, but you are still responsible for it. Socialism at it’s finest!!Why not file charges that the state and water company are trespassing on your land by letting their water fall on it without your permission? I mean, I can’t take my belongings and store them in my neighbor’s yard, why can they?

Ain't modern society sculpting a wonderful world? What's next, ... picking up the pace on toxifying the atmosphere so they can start charging for the air we need to breathe? That should be even more lucrative than charging for water as death without air is far quicker than death without water.

Grey what is even more shocking is the fact that apparently it is also illegal here and I didn't even know! And now I know I shall continue to do exactly what I did when I didn't know!

Initially, I kinda thought you had to be joking around when I first saw what you were saying. I hope a person would at least get off with just a stern warning were they to look up with their mouth open when it was raining out.

Well, I must say that I'm pretty surprised, and pleasantly no less. It actually warmed up here overnight and was only 5 or 6 degrees below freezing this morning. It made it up to about +4 this afternoon and is still almost +2. I guess they're saying to enjoy it as it ain't gonna last, but it's not supposed to turn too nasty.
