Bought my son some flowers for opening night and the other performance I attended and I had to take some picture of them. Ever since watching a documentary on the cut flower industry, I have been trying not to buy them.

Glimpse from a contact improvisation dance performed this past summer. Happy almost new year! Other than finding dance again, was such a challenging year and glad this one's almost over.... though fearful of what's coming next.

Willow, who is the new black kitty? Wow, it's been quite a while since being here I realize now. She's not so new actually. Rescued her two summers ago when Jeremy died suddenly and unexpectedly from congenital heart failure. Three cat deaths in four years was a lot. He was only 4. So, please meet Kasha! It's a native american word meaning 'robed in fur'. She came with the name, but I changed the spelling to sound like it's pronounced. She was a senior rescue being 10 when I got her from the local animal shelter. She had clearly been loved for many years, though a little bitey if you stroke her too much. She's quite a character and young in personality, though sleeps noisily breathing like an old lady, and is my first long haired cat. Love her and as always, having her company is a treasure. Here are a couple more pics of her taken recently.

Kasha looks like Missy (Miss-terious), my daughters cat. She's older, and bites like that too. Her paws aren't white though, and has bright green eyes. She hates kids, and attacks the dogs when feeling anti social. She wants attention when she want it, and hides behind things when she doesn't. They all have a distinct personality don't they?

Kasha is quite lovely. I'm sure Missy is too.

I think all our beloved four-legged's are quite special. And yes, each has their own personality... like people. Woke up to this lovely peacefulness this morning.

If the roads would be safe I'd say send some snow our way, but they would be treacherous. I love the look of snow.

Ahhh, seems most of the pics here were lost in the recent crisis, so resurrecting this thread from the dead. My fur baby these days doing what she does so well... make me smile.
