We get all kinds of wildlife right in town here; sadly these guys often get destroyed.

We get all kinds of wildlife right in town here; sadly these guys often get destroyed. It is unfortunate, but once they get the habit of scavenging from humans they're usually a threat forevermore. Even relocating them many miles away usually meet no success as they usually find their way back to their regular haunts, or take up the same bad habit at their new locale. .....and still, some people feel the need to be giving wild animals handouts. (I'm even a bit guilty with a bird/squirrel feeder myself, but it's pretty inconsequential really)

wow....what a beautiful pic. freesias in the rain. i have a don't feed the bears story too from when i was a young child camping with my family in the pocono mountains... but have to get to work now, so maybe will share it later. though it was true then too...once they get a taste for human food, seems it's quite addictive for them.

Cj, it is so good to see you and hear your thoughts again in your posts! Speaking of reuniting, i was with a very large branch of my family this past weekend in Philly for my niece's wedding...and so my brother from LA flew in, and the father of the bride, my middle brother, was there. The only missing sibling was my oldest brother who lives in Israel..but he'll be here this summer. So, here'a pic taken of me and two of my brothers....
