I'm presuming that's why the Burchfield Penny Art Center is there. They've shown/auctioned some of my uncle's paintings over the years. He's also a photographer, but I dunno if any of his photography has been as public. He had a sign painting/making business too for decades, although in his 80s now he's pretty much retired to just his paintings.

Edward Hopper is my favourite and has been since undergrad. I remember when I first discovered him. His work was on the cover of an American lit course text. Specs were clearly laid out from the get-go...miss 2 classes and you fail. Anyway, I missed one class (legit illness for a change) and I found out after the fact that the prof had asked for me... "Is Ms. XXX not here to defend her man today?" I was Ms. XXX.
Anyway, fast forward a little bit and my phone rang (before the time of these stupid personal phones we have now). I answered. The other end, "Ms. XXX, do you have a vacuum I could borrow?" It was my prof. The same who asked whether Ms. XXS was here to defend her man. Turns out he moved in to my building.
Fast forward a little more. Yes, I provided a loaner vacuum. I even watched a little football with him. Stupidly, I did not f*ck him senseless, which I really wanted to do. I had a chance. In retrospect, which I only clued in to in retrospect. The invitation was there if I had been paying attention. Point of the story, don't doubt yourself. If you end up wrong in your instinct to f*ck someone senseless, the worse that can happen is your instincts are wrong. But the best that can happen.... just imagine... take the chance!!!

Fun story MsBB19~ ;-) As they say, "Fortune favors the Bold!" (I personally use the term 'F**k their brains out'---but to each their own) hahahahah
