What do you usually do for Christmas meals? Do you spend it with family? What foods would you find at a meal?
My family usually has a big supper on Christmas Eve at my brother's house. His wife's family and our family are always there and we all get along great. Everyone brings something. Here are the common foods we have every year:
Turkey Gravy Stuffing Mashed potatoes Perogies Cabbage rolls Cottage cheese with green onions Bacon-wrapped water chestnuts Deviled eggs Veggies & dip Ceasar salad Taco salad Sausage (koubassa or German sausage) Meatballs (either honey garlic or sweet n' sour) my mom's jello mold Various desserts
I often make homemade perogies to bring and I make a bunch of pies and the meatballs.
On Christmas Day, my mom makes a big brunch and she makes a ham for later to have with leftovers (everyone in my family brings home leftovers from my brother's the night before).

I usually bake a ham for Christmas as most years I already got more than my fill of of turkey a few months prior at thanksgiving. If it ends up that it's a turkey Christmas though, without a doubt my fav is the stuffing

What kind of stuffing do you like? I once made a wild rice, crouton and mushroom stuffing that tasted so unbelievably good. However too many fussbuckets in my family won't eat wild rice or mushrooms. Everyone's all into the boxed stovetop stuffing I'm afraid.
Growing up, we would have turkey at Thanksgiving, turkey and ham on Christmas Eve, goose on Christmas Day and duck at Easter. We raised turkeys, geese, ducks, and chickens on our farm so they were in ready supply. Back then, a lot of people around our parts had roast goose at Christmas. Goose gravy is the most flavorful gravy you can eat.

I make my stuffing from scratch using croutons (just cubed and dehydrated bread really) for a beginner, then sage, rosemary, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, occasionally a pinch of cumin if I want the taco autograph, and whatever else tickles my fancy at the time. I kind of miss adding a bunch of chopped onion too, but avoid onion almost everyplace anymore because of how unhealthy it is for my dogs. The mention of geese still gives me the shivers (aside from knowing that they're yummy) as I'm not exagerating when I say that they were by far the nastiest critters on our farm, and left me bruised and bleeding more than the rest of our animals combined. Eventually I killed them both with my boots in self defense. (though retaliatory rage likely played a bigger role, but I couldn't tell grampa that)

Lol, I know very well how scary geese can be. We had a bunch of white ones all the time and my dad would keep them loose. They'd stick to a huge slough we had in the front of our yard by the road. The ganders were extremely protective and territorial. Sometimes they'd come by the house and we'd be mighty careful avoiding them. Got chased a few times. Once we had lawn darts laying by the house and a big gander was coming at me, hissing and slapping is wings. I threw a lawn dart really fast and it stuck into the goose, stopped him just long enough for me to get away. That gander walked around with a lawn dart stuck in him a long time, no one was gonna attempt to get near him to get it off. My grandpa got both his arms broke when he was 12 from one of those white geese. When my dad would catch them to butcher and us kids had to help corner them (we had hockey sticks or baseball bats) I would be terrified.
