Vesuvia
I've seen Nick Cave solo and with The Bad Seeds many times. The ultimate professionals.
Murder Ballads is an amazing album. O'Malleys Bar is jaw dropping.
The Curse Of Millhaven lol ah wee Lottie.
I'll go and see what it is all about and give you a Dracul's Culture Vulture report.
My mate once pointed out that Stagger Lee was meant to be the meanest, deadliest geezer around. Yet his wife threw him out!!!!!!!!!!!
Mrs Lee must be a right handful then.
Here's a wee clip of the stage show.
Meet the regulars of O’Malley’s bar, Millhaven, West Texas 1882.
The town has not been the same since a Stranger turned up at the Lee family cabin and left without a trace. The curse of the Stranger ripples through the town;
Mary Lee thinks she’s herself from 16 years ago, Stephen Lee starts calling himself Stagger Lee and turns into a murdering brute, and little Lottie is the prime suspect in a string of violent murders…
Expect a raucous evening full of murder, madness and darkly comic tales.

Yes ,please do Dracul's Culture Vulture report~
Where the Wild Roses Grow Lovely Creature The Curse of Millhaven Crow Jane
Chill up my spine as those ballads go round in my head.
Trying to imagine the 'acting out' of those stories with the soundtrack blaring in the foreground/background. Better than any horror movie for thrills and chills~
;-)

Yo former colonies. Listen up. This geezer wrote a few pop tunes like Odysseus inside out tune.
But Jesse Rae actually wandered about the borders between noble salt of the earth Scotland and evil swivell eyed englandshire.
And yes. I roll my r's like Jesse does in this tune.
Shermans singing using Scottish words!!!!!!!

I bought the book years ago but it got lost somewhere. I did enjoy his film The Proposition. I like Ray Winstone as an actor. Have any of yous subscribed to The Red Hand files? Folk send questions to Nick Cave about many subjects and he chooses ones which he answers personally. Here be the link www.theredhandfiles.com

So no long till the largest arts festival in the world starts. Ive just found out the night that this geezer Chris McGlade is playing free shows in the city cafe on blair street.
The theme is Revenge. His dad was murdered in his home town of Redcar north east england. Redcar is a former steel town that has had the soul ripped out of it.
He's a working class lad who writes poetry. This below is his answer to pc liberal dafties.
He is a socialist who actually knows how we are held back by pc dogma.
It's worth a listen. Because nearly everything he says in this poem is how i see life as well.
Chris McGlade.
