We know there are starving children in Africa and 32cents can feed a family for a week but damn it we have problems too. Like when you leave the drive through window and see they didnt give you ketchup. Whelp! you are eating your fries with out ketchup because there is no way your getting out of your car.

So the cell tower got hit by a car and knocked over. I should still have uninterrupted service.

Going to the grocery store and seeing that the 24 pack of clean, fresh bottled water on sale for 2.99 is not your preferred brand. Are we really that spoiled.

Reminds me of when I first moved back to this country in 2000 and was seeing a counsellor a few years in cuz I wasn't sure I had done the right thing...
So I was processing trying to decide which country to live in and she very matter of factly said I had "designer problems." Will never forget it as she was so right, in a way, though I had children in each country, so went a little deeper.
But every time I find myself annoyed or worrying about something relatively insignificant, I remember her words and it puts it all in perspective again.
So, today's gripe is it's raining and the grass is growing too long again for me to cut it before it's a huge job. Oh and the hot water had to be turned off for a workman that was doing an estimate, so couldn't shower before my mammogram. Oh well.
Actually, just wishing to add I do think when I'm washing dishes how many people in the world don't have running water, never mind hot water, and remind myself not to waste it or take it for granted.

We've got it so good most could never survive in the wilderness for more than a week without being eaten by wildlife. Truth...

We probably waste more water, not even trying to, than some families have all month. Flushing twice and turning the faucet too high when we wash our hands, an extra couple minutes standing in the hot shower after a long day.

That’s quite a skill... survival skills would be really beneficial in school curriculums, but if they were taught, I imagine more people would want to, and be able to, get off the grid and not enslave themselves to ‘contributing to society.’
