Feel free to ask for prayers, post a biblical verse, or rant about something other believers might be able to help you with. Today I would like to post a prayer poem:
might our Father in heaven grant us with tolerance to accept those friends we wish to help but cannot, to love them unconditionally even when it hurts to forgive their faults even though we fought,
in the name of Jesus Christ might we find strength to pray for those whom need to control their finance, to understand their sorrows pains sadness and woes to lead those struggling in life to needed guidance,
might we all pray for one another on this site no matter who we think is wrong or right

What is this fuel for the spiritual man within every Believer? The answer is simple: the practices of GOOD SPIRITUAL HYGIENE. Let's list them again: Systematically read your Bible David in Psalm 119:9 said, "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word." He goes on to say in verse 11, "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." The New Testament is full of references to the power of God through the Word of God. Jesus declared that the Word sanctifies (sets us apart) in John 17:17-19. Paul reinforces the cleansing power of the Word of God in Ephesians 5:26. We are told in II Timothy 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." There's no question about it; the study of God Word is vital to good spiritual health. Consistent, daily prayer Paul said in I Thessalonians 5:17, "Pray without ceasing." He admonished the Colossians when he wrote in 4:2, "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving." Daily conversational prayer throughout the day with God is an important component to good spiritual health. Fellowship with other Believers Believers need the support of other Believers. Paul wrote in Colossians 3:16, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." He told the Hebrews in 10:25, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Good spiritual health requires that Believers regularly meet with other Believers. It's the support structure that contributes to our spiritual well being. Sharing one's faith Here's the exercise component to good spiritual health - sharing what you know about Christ. Paul wrote in II Corinthians 5:19-20, "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God." There it is...our job is to serve Jesus Christ as ambassadors. When you've been reading your Bible, praying and spending time with other Believers, sharing just comes naturally. Nice thread, hou. Would love to participate, but I’m not Christian. Is there any way it could be more inclusive to spiritual health of all faiths? Or for those who are spiritual, but not necessarily religious?

I wanted a page that identifies with all types of Christianity, which in itself has basic core beliefs. My beliefs are part of my identity, even if you do not agree with them. Anyone is free to start an all inclusive spiritual thread if they wish, are they not?

Some verses for strength~
Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Psalm 73:26: My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. 1 Chronicles 16:11: Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. Isaiah 40:29: He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Mark 12:30: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment

I understand, hou. Thank you. My brother and ex sister-in-law have been into “The Course in Miracles” for many years and, knowing it’s based on the teachings of Jesus, I have a copy and also a wonderful book that has meditations based on the Course. Here is the one for today with photos showing the whole page with the paragraphs of the passage. June 6 Healing. It begins...“Healing occurs when pain had lost its value..... And ends... If my mind is at peace, I will be well today.” [/url

Wonderful! I love this book and love how it applies the Course and Jesus's teachings in a way that is really understandable since the Course of Miracles itself seems to be written purposefully where one must ponder the meaning of the words to really get it.. and read them again and again and still not be sure.

Just some prose...
When everything goes wrong and I just want something to go right = prayer There is this certain unmistakable rest I receive when I put that sick in my stomach feeling into God's hands. Time doesn't always heal my wounds, but God will. Heaven is not a dream; its my reality = Peace
In the life of a believer we ride along and sometimes its a 65 Mustang convertible with the top down. Other times its a 1995 piece of crap jalopy that barely runs Im scared to put gas in cause I know Im gonna get stranded. The difference? I now God is there for me, and will get me any here I need to go. I do pray for myself, but not as much as Ive prayed for others. Why? As Americans we are truly blessed in this nation we don't even realize how much we do have. So Im old, fat, and someone stole my Ray Bans along with a bunch of my jewelry that really did mean a lot to me. So someone found an old portfolio of art work I did in high school and stole a bunch of it. You know what they cant steal from me? My salvation.
I am going out of this world with the one thing that cant be taken away from me. I am a child of GOD, in the name of his Son Jesus Christ. I forgive you thief of monetary things, for what is most important to me isn't of this earth. It is of HEAVEN. SO go pawn that big diamond, my grandmothers bracelet, that scuba camera, and enjoy all my diverse art from high school I didn't even know my mom kept. You hurt me for but a few moments. Where will your soul be come judgement day? I pray for your salvation...

My spirit needs some healing today, so I am venting about an incident that happened yesterday. Im still upset about it. There was a young boy around 5 having a fit all through the store where I work. An hour later after much restraint of my verbiage, this kid was in between two shelves kicking and screaming in the toy department. he was kicking up on the shelf on top of him and it was about to fall down. They are pretty heavy, and have edges where they are inserted into railing that could cause some very serious injuries. I informed the family unit they needed to get the child off the shelving to no avail. I finally said if they did not I would call the police and security. This child's well being was in danger. The family complained to management, and said I was discriminating against them. I apologized and informed the one family member that spoke English that this was a safety issue, I was of the same race (in part), and spoke to the family in what I could remember of that particular language.
I was told by management I couldn't say that, and to call them from now on. What still bothers me is how they were all just watching this kid put himself in danger and did nothing to stop it. Did they not even think that a heavy self could fall on top of their kid and cause major injuries? The way some parents endanger the well being of their children is beyond me. Thanks for the vent.
Might we keep this family in prayer, and say one for me too.

Father in the name of your Son Jesus Christ thank you for being seizure free since 1996. I am truly blessed for all you have given me in life. Thank you with all my heart for the home we have. I remember the charity of others and it is a reward to now be able to share empathy and generosity. Having a charitable heart is your work in me. Might I shine as a light for you for others to see in their darkness. Might the path to your righteousness become clear for those whom seek that walk. No matter how good or bad we think life is, let us be thankful in tribulations also knowing the experience gives us hope. Amen.
