Where are you planning to visit this year?
I'm going to Hawaii in a few months. If anyone has been there recently, I'd welcome any ideas of things to do or places to see.

On my bucket list is Belize, Guadeloupe, Tahiti, Scotland, Ireland, England, Germany, Greece and Italy. Of course the tropical places top my list. I'm not realistic, but I think I'd love to retire to a tropical location.

I'm planning a visit to London later this Summer. It will be my first trip to England.

Hawaii is the only US state without a border that is a straight line. Anyway, I fully intend to revisit Barra, but by air just for the experience of landing and taking off there..... look it up. @halcyonskies avoid London at all costs. I refuse to work there any more. Arrogant, ignorant people and the water is rank. @bug.... you have free accommodation when ye ever land in Scotland.... just give Vlad ( hibbiejim) some notice ha ha....

@stumour ah, your place is small like mine. And I'll be sure to tell Vlad/Jim that you're volunteering his service. However, it would probably work better if I had kayjay with me. Aaannnddd... Why can't I tag you, Stumour?

I usually post with my Android. Neaner, neaner. I capitalize the S, but it changes to lower case. Hmmmmmmm... You are the only one I can't tag.
When it works into the budget you'll be stuck with a visit. I'll be 80 by then.

I wouldn't mind going for a visit to my main ancestral homeland. My grampa, who also played the greatest role in shaping who I became, was from Reykjavik, and talked about the countryside now and then. I was still too young to really appreciate much, (lived with my grandparents from age 4 - 11) but even still, a lot of things sounded awesome.

So glad I ambled in to this thread. And before I write another book (been doing it all day for some odd reason)... @bug , and anyone reading this, to tag stumour, yes, can use the way that takes a few seconds longer clicking the link to the right of the video link above. It will ask for the name and the tagging there is foolproof I found after @name wasn't working for me. OR you can try tagging @. admin without the dot or gap because that is how the system recognizes Stu. And also wish to comment quickly on Stumour mentioning he still wants to come and visit me after the summer season. Just know my dearest English girlfriend is finally coming here for a week in October and again in November to bookend a course she's doing in Hawaii, ironically. So, might have to get in the que, my friend. Ok, back to this thread. Sorry for the off topic chit chat. Places I've been or lived of those mentioned... Hawaii (Maui), Germany (Bavaria), England..London and Devon and also not mentioned... Amsterdam. On my bucket list trip is Thailand, Bali, Ukraine to Odessa where my grandparents were from. Not on my bucket list is Auschwitz. And not sure about India either. Really I'd love to go around the world by boat, plane, and train. That would be my dream bucket.

Tell yous what. Anyone visiting Scotland can settle the age old argument that splits communities.
Visit Ste in the weege and eat the savages version of a fish supper with salt n vinegar.
Or visit Edinburgh. The CAPITAL of Scotland.
Head over in August when the biggest arts festival in the WORLD is on.
No need to pay £300 a night for a hotel.
My place is there for free.
And I shall treat you to an honestly glorious fish supper with salt n SAUCE and a couple of pickles thrown in.
Then YOU dear visitors can give your verdict.
weegie or EDINBURGH fish supper.
