I don't think people pee in the tub unless they are two or three years old and are showing off to their siblings!
A shower is a different. Moving water don't ya know~

I pee while taking a shower all the time. Not sure what the issue is. Better than getting out and wasting a toilet tank of water to flush. Plus you are cleaned right off afte, lol, better than a bidet I say

I have on Occasion. I try not to, but I won't get out of a shower to go pee. Nothing like the sound of water to bring the need to pee on I find though.

What kind of squeamish pansy gets rattled over a woman peeing in the shower?? Save the hysteria for when she defecates in it.

Peeing in the shower appears to have gone "mainstream".

That would stink.

(p) It's ammonia, and organic solids that can buildup as plaque (which has an unpleasant odor).
If it's rinsed within .. half a day, maybe? it'll probably smell less offensively than you average cat litter box.
Edit: the dark brown plaque deep down in the porcelain of the bowl is this same plaque. This buildup can be avoided by flushing .. maybe three times a day (there are sites where one is asked not to flush very often).
Obviously large volume solids are to be flushed immediately ;)

I thought it was a given that everyone pees in the shower. Not in the bath, though.

Didn't know it was common practice until I read this thread. Not sure why it would be so offensive, though. It's body fluid. Do we feel disgust over other body fluids, and in the shower too. Maybe the person who found it so offensive might be a bit ocd and a germ freak or something. But fyi, urine is sterile. Btw, cat pans don't have to smell if you empty the pieces daily. Buy 'the best kitty litter in the world' (or something like that it's called). It really is the best. It clumps, but not too much, is totally biodegradable so flushable, and lasts so much longer without odor before needing changing completely. Worth the price.
Sorry to bring this back to cats again. It was mentioned and I'm afraid I'm a walking encyclopedia on felines from my mom breeding and showing them when I was young. (I call them her crazy years.) So, it's hard not to chip in some tidbit of information. So, back to the topic... who hasn't wee'd (uk) or pee'd (usa) in the shower?

Worrying about a little pee in the shower? It goes right down the drain. What about pools? Little brats often urinate in the pools. On cruise ships you gotta go to the adult only pool to worry less about pool piss.
My cat was drinking his own urine and would put his head behind his litter mate to drink his urine as if from a fountain. No behaviorists heard such a thing, even Mr. Galaxy had no comment.

Shower, ocean, woods, and dare I say swimming pools too ... but not in the bath. Best advice I ever got was in ante natal class for first birth... “Keep up your pelvic floor exercises! For life!” I now know why! If you don’t, there is a downside to laughing too much as a woman. I think peeing in a swimming pool where other people swim is much more unsanitary than peeing in the shower. I wish there were a pool chemical that turned pee blue so one could catch someone in the act.

I agree, @halcyonskies . No, I never wee'd in a public pool with other people in it. Got a bit carried away in the spirit of the moment of the thread. I should have clarified that it was only once in a private pool where it was heavily chlorinated (way too heavily imo), filtered and I knew no one else would be swimming in it until the next day. Interesting, but I also was thinking of the blue dye when I wrote that. Doesn't it exist, or is it a myth?

To my knowledge, it's just a myth. I think if someone could develop one, they'd make a boatload of money.
