^^I read Tobacco Road.
It was a traumatic experience.

Been reading Throw and Patterson as of late. Read Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, and The Grapes of Wrath this past year; all for another now older view. Started Great Expectations, but I put it down. Maybe this year I will try to read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, or another classic that gathered dust upon shelves of cobwebs in the garage. I seem to hang onto these relics of read time and time again. I give most away, but these were brought down by my brother when he cleaned his garage. They may have belonged to our sister, or even my dad at one time or another. I just don't have the heart to give these ones away.

I re-read Wuthering Heights on a regular basis. Am due. Need to get a fresh copy. My little PB is falling apart and the print is soooooo small to my older eyes.
I came to 'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn' very late in life. Not a high school assignment. Loved it.
Ms Bug turned me on to Thriftbooks--an excellent source for new and used books. Must see if they have any decent copies available~
