Don't want to shell out on microshaft orifice? Try Open Office. It's great. Works with all the known office formats (.doc, .docx etc.) as well as pdf and power point. It's a FULL office package. I just save documents in a MS format if they're gonna be mailed to anyone so I know they'll be able to open them. Just takes a bit of getting used to the different titles such as Impress in place of Power Point
