Tbh I was just hoping to bring the perspective of why some women would choose to earn their own money, but of course, no one on here can go ‘ye that’s true, never thought of that’. 😂
It’s not as easy as pretty face meets old dude with money, life’s set for her.
[Men are territorial, jealous, don’t like sharing what they’ve paid for, insecure] Men might be stupid over pussy but men with real cash aren’t stupid when it comes to money (generally) It can be a tough gig for a woman (even pretty ones)

Mr. Sugar Daddy isn't going to simply give it to her for free.

That depends on what you mean by "life is set". If you mean from strictly a financial standpoint, yes, it can be that easy.

Sure, in the vanilla world, but that's not what I'm talking about here.

The issue for me with that scenario, pig, is she is then completely dependant on him. He owns her then, which is not fun.
And what happens as she ages or loses her looks? He will trade her in for a younger version (again).

She is there for the cash . Look at ex f1 boss and wife. Would she be with a 89 year old man if he wasn't rich lol? She is in 40. They both use each other.. He gets sex with a good looking lass. She sells het soul for cash. He knows. He isn't stupid by far.

This discussion brings to mind something I heard when I was a young woman from women with more life experience than I at the time, to whit " If you marry for money, you pay for it for the rest of your life."
Just throwing that out there~

Speaking of porn, I've always wondered why porn stars pursue that career when it seems like just finding a sugar daddy could end up being better. No limit on how much money they could drain from the poor fool and they wouldn't have to engage in sex on camera. I wonder if you’d have asked female porn stars and they’d have given the same reply as me would you have accepted it or questioned them further on why they don’t think like you 🤪

I really agree with this and was thinking about how little we give credit to each other for expanding our perspective. I’m going to look at that in myself and see where I can express it more too. I think sometimes we think it, but don’t bother to say it. It was on my mind because I’ve been feeling we’re so quick to jump on things we don’t agree with, but rarely see a post or another’s idea as something new or different to consider. Or maybe we consider it and instantly reject it!

What you mean is we aren't saying what you want us to say lol.
Yet you say about no perspective, but quick to assume stuff through your own perspective. Seems that way.

^^ I didn’t say closed minded and no perspective. Those are your words.
I really chose my words carefully to mean what I was trying to convey and they were not to say anyone here is closed minded with no perspective.
Spectra, I’d hoped you know me better by now to think I think like that.
I’m reminded often here of the limitations of writing words which can mean different things to different people.
I just thought it was a good point Roxy made of how often does anyone here say, “yeah, I never thought of that.” I honestly hadn’t thought of that until she said it. :)

Spectra, I’d hoped you know me better by now to think I think like that. My observation I was making and I said I needed to look at myself doing this too, especially in the serious threads, was posting more no posts than yes posts to each other. But I am very aware it’s my perspective and I said that really clearly too, or thought I did. I’m reminded often here of the limitations of writing words which can mean different things to different people. I just thought it was a good point Roxy made of how often does anyone here say, “yeah, I never thought of that.” I honestly hadn’t thought of that until she wrote it. :) There isn't an issue @willow. Maybe, I jumped on it a bit

Willow, I haven’t taught curriculum subjects in school for many years, I’m more of a mentor now and I work alongside the behavioural support team. It’s a tough job getting youngsters to consider different views/perspectives etc. Grown adults?....already cooked 😂

Oh good, Spectra. Thanks. And that’s quite funny and also true, Roxy. I’m just too much of a hopeful idealist, but also a realist and those two sides of me are constantly arguing with each other. :)
So... love in the time of this virus is limited to my being only with my friend and employer, and my mum.
In other words, it’s not happening at all except with those two people for me in person and with everyone and anyone else it’s limited to video calls and sharing written or spoken words, and photos.
There was one new person from the pond a couple of months ago who we thought we might meet when the weather was better and things were safer, but then I realized nah, and just let it go. He did too.
So will life ever allow for the potential of a new love? Doesn’t feel like it. Or maybe a previous or present friendship or connection might deepen.

I'm on POF briefly daily and just don't see the point. Its like may as well give up. Its a bit different when you put up your own walls up and self sabotage rather than this virus just rip it all to shreds and make you feel like no point whatsoever. I've seen a few profiles lately Women saying to come make conversation and for us Men to message first and that they having a tough time at this stage in lockdown. A lot of Men are bored messaging first and I'm really drained from penpalitis from the past or people not serious just filling time and their loneliness.
Do I want something worthwhile. Sure. But messaging first makes me cringe as I've already got in my head. This will be a waste of time. I don't want to chat for weeks. I want to meet asap and see if anything there whatsoever.
