Mwaahahahaaaaa! I like to be first in some things. Old Vlad on a pony ... isn't he from a documentary where they were set against gays but enjoyed whipping each other with branches? Not that there's anything against a bit of branch whipping but twas an amusing docu.

tutsy tut... just supporting a Scot... ya know. She's skin n bone... seen more meat on a butcher's knife.
Anyway... Canadian ladies cuffed the yanks today at the hockey. Was a damn good game, but I reckon the cannucks were gifted the 2nd goal. Whistle def went afore the puck crossed the line.

There was no reason for a whistle but it clearly was blown before the puck went in. (unless it was maybe someone in the crowd and not one of the officials blowing on a whistle) Officiating was pathetic though, right from the start up to the end.

Grey, did ye see the way the yank coach "invited" over the ref for a chat after the decision? A little disdainful curl of the fingers. If I was the ref, I'd have given one digit back n not pandered to that rudeness.

I'll assume you're talking about that little Romanian honey that got the first ever perfect score huh cobs? If so, you're going back quite a ways there girl. Myself, I wasn't too into spectator sports other than NHL back then, but I remember my grandma singing her praises quite a bit.
...and yeah stu, I saw the whole affair a number of times now. It's kinda obvious that it was an official's whistle that everyone heard or it would have been addressed and the blame sidestepped by now, and that it was clearly blown well before the puck crossed the line. The fact that there wasn't any reason for a whistle is kinda irrelevant. It was still clearly blown. All things taken into consideration, I can't really say that I can blame the American coach for being choked.
