I hadn't even realized it was Superbowl weekend until after it aired. It's not really big around these parts. Even after the game the majority of talk was about Jennifer Lopez and Shakira or people posting links to the commercials. I don't actually know anyone personally who watches the Superbowl. I still have yet to ever see one in my life as it's never been kn anywhere where I was. I remember years ago when I worked in a bar lounge and my boss told me to turn to it on the tv and customers got mad cause they wanted to watch curling. There's a view in these parts that people who like the Superbowl are American-wannabes and that we should be paying attention only to our own country's football league. I know that's not the case in some areas of Canada like Toronto which steadfastly ignores the CFL and have been wanting an NFL team for years.

Just back from the movies. Saw 'The Gentlemen' (cockney crime drama directed/writ by Guy Ritchie)
Took awhile to catch on to the way he chose to tell the story, but about half way in, kind of figured it out.
Lots of profanity of the Brit sort. Hugh Grant in a different part than his usual rom-com persona.
Popcorn was not fresh. ;-(
Verdict still out...

Laurel and Hardy in 'Sons of the Desert'.
I watched those guys as a kid, thought they were funny, slapstick kid humour. Now as an adult they are even funnier, with slapstick kid humour as well as adult comedy that was way over my head back then.
Used to think Stanley was the 'smart one', but now I see that it was Oliver all along...Good Times

I've been having a nosey around playlist on youtube and come across an 80's horror one and it got me thinking about Class of Nuke 'em' high I watched in '88' and wondered what happened to that actress Janelle Brady I had a big crush on. Sadly, she only ever made 2 more Movies. If you fancy watching a silly B Horror Movie. Here it is :)

I finally watched the movie "Whiplash" about the jazz drummer in the music conservatory. It's amazing how they got some of the details right, yet got so many others wrong. But hey, the suspension of disbelief is what movie watching is all about. This was more about storytelling than an accurate depiction.

There's a Peaky Blinders thread.
I put up a photie of the very first geezer to appear in court and be described as a Peaky Blinder.

Nae graft today so I've watched all 6 episodes of Darklands.
About a young mma fighter from Bray in Ireland.
It's a gangstery type show.
If you like polis/gangs stuff you should look out for Love/Hate.
Set in Dublin. Good yarn like.
