My date report-
It went great. He picked me up, took me to Cheesecake Factory. We watched fireworks at his house. We talked for six hours. He said "I really like you." He complimented my shoulders. I've never gotten a shoulders compliment before. He asked me my work schedule, and noted my days off in his phone.
Asked permission before giving me a peck when he walked me to my door. I gave him two pecks back.
I have a job interview in the morning, for a work-from-home telephonic triage position. Wish me luck.:)

He asked if he could kiss you?? Oh, boy.
I know I'm probably going to ruffle some feathers here, but I just can't imagine a middle-aged (I'm assuming) man doing that.
I'm sure you and a few others will think of it as being "respectful", but I can tell you there are women who would find it a spontaneity killer and perceive him as lacking confidence.

But I did used to have a technique with women that seemed a bit standoffish where I would go in " feel free to stop me anytime", but it was in a cocky way. Asking permission can lead to a big rejection which ego bruises the guy and show a man is weak which many women will not like. Men really have little to lose by making a move, so they should all go for it. But It seemed like a good date overall. I am glad! When is date#3?

I'm sure he knew I would let him kiss me, by the way things were going. He asked casually while leaning in. It's easy to see he doesn't lack confidence.
He texted me later saying he had a wonderful time and that "spending time with you really feels good." He also said "We'll see each other again soon."
That shows confidence, imo. I really like the guy.

^^^Glad to hear you and the new guy are enjoying your time together.
I personally like to kiss ASAP just to see if there are any sparks. A peck or two just won't do~ But to each their own pace<<<

cbgb77 Steamy-hot! Lol. Third date is tonight. I had tentative plans with someone else, but he never firmed it up, so I accepted the invite from the Cerebral Swede.

Date number three- he took me for sushi, then we went back to his house and talked for hours. We kissed several times, and got cozy. He invited me to stay over- of course I said not yet. Lots of sparks, though. I was thinking about the kissing on my way home, and missed my exit- even with the GPS talking to me.
We have so many things in common. Really hope this one works out.

Date #4 is Thursday. He's coming over, I'm making dinner.
I work nights, and I work every weekend. He gets up at 0500, and works Monday-Friday. Our schedules clash, big time. He has been very accommodating of my schedule, and has been staying up late with me on our dates, and losing sleep-time. I respect that, and am appreciative.
He said that trying to spend time with me reminds him of the movie Ladyhawke. I've never seen the movie, but apparently, a couple has only short time periods together before one or both turns into something, and they can't be together. I'm assuming the woman turns into a hawk?
I turn into a nurse, and he turns into a software developer.
I realllly like this guy and am very attracted to him. We have nearly identical coloring, and are close in height. We could be mistaken for brother and sister, which is kinda weird.
My sister is telling me to take it slow, but it is very hard to curtail myself, as I've felt ready for a relationship for years now. Please cross your fingers for me, and put some good thoughts for me out into the universe. :) I don't want to get my heart broken.

Ladyhawke is one of my favorite movies. They only have a few seconds together before they change. Usually they weren't together. Here's the scene you might like. I advise you see the movie.
