I really didn't have much choice to get this Gateway going. Either this or get the screen fixed on my Apple. With the cost of that I could buy a cheap lap top, and a cheap tablet.
What is the NSA gonna find out they don't already know? I get on sites like FB. They can knock themselves out reading my boring messages to church, and family members.

Of course if the NSA can get your stuff, so can the FSB, or whatever China's 3 character agecyis, or whatever hacker group... ... And yeah, "nothing to hide", but you've got those banking accounts or SSN on there, and maybe you've got that laptop flipped open in the bedroom while you're having wild sex in bed and they've turned on the webcam on the top of the screen, oh and that mic for sound.. You could be the next internet "sex tape" phenomenon! Nobody ever thinks they have "secrets", but... Because of all the laws on the books most Americans commit three felonies a day on average... Without even knowing it. Simple question, sure if I post something on Facebook its open to anyone... If I have naked pictures of a gf only on my computer, should MS and the NSA be able to gawk at them, pass them around, etc? Where does my 4th amendment right against search & seizure w/o a warrant (that is supposed to say what they are searching for, and where)? Oh yah, but they won't use it unless I'm a " terrorist"? Who defines what a "terrorist" is? (The word "terrorist" has been used throughout history to justify many a genocide). If the definition is "flexible" then who of us might be a "terrorist" tomorrow? I worry about anything that "reinterprets" rights - to use something Teddy Roosevelt implied around the turn of the last century, maybe those rights were OK in the "age of sail", but in the "age of steam" maybe we need to change some things... Either that, or, well, they're human rights and it shouldn't matter if its the age of sail, steam, oil, nuclear sub's, or terror? Don't get me wrong, we can change them with public debate and a vote... But maybe it shouldn't be decided in a secret court with secret records by secret agencies who want to keep it all secret from you.

I do not do any banking online ever. There is nothing on this laptop to hack, not even one photo. Web cam? Theres much nicer things to look at than my 51 year old cellulite, and rolls that aren't for dinner anymore.
All I do with this computer is get on the internet, view a handful of sites, and message a limited number of friends / family. I have much more in this life to be concerned with, than hypothetical instances.

So, microshaft are up to their usual nonsense. Upgrades galore. If it was right at the outset (after beta testing), then why all the security plugs?
