This is special to my heart. Right after moving to London early 1981, I watched a great documentary with my boyfriend about Leonard Cohen and this song with these two beautiful back-up singers came on and I was mesmerized, feeling it was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard when he sang with these women. So it brought tears, and has ever since every time I hear it, especially this version that is timeless and eternal for me. It's also one I love to sing and will be for days now I've posted it here. This is the clip from that documentary.... it sticks a couple of times at first while he’s talking, but then it’s fine.

If posting that one, must post this one too. Found this version among so very many and, though the audio and visual are slightly off, it is exquisite and touches my heart with its beauty.

Oops. Neither of my last two posts are complete and I had such difficulties tonight with getting knocked off the site repeatedly. But have to get back to work now, so will return later or tomorrow to repost complete versions.
