Ye know the best thing about new flat screen tellies? Being able to use them as PC monitors!
Had a house day today cos did in me shoulder... maybe I'm too old to be doing trails on ma bike... n studied the telly. Programmes on loops... repeated every few hours or less. Recycled BBC ones. Turns out that corporation that is funded by the license fee actually part owns UKTV that runs no less than 10 commercial channels. Cuckin funts... about time they made up their minds about how they are funded!
Anyway, do ye like TV? I admit to watching likes of QI n other cerebral, yet funny shows. Thing is, do we need such shite on the main channels purporting to be entertainment or whatever?

I'll catch a few shots, but I prefer watching movies and I do watch them on my television. I love movies.

Not really big on TV, I am probably just going to cancel cabe pretty soon too. When I do turn it on its usually the Home and, Garden Network these days... wish-full thinking. I used to mostly watch the Food network now, my kid is hooked on that one.

Im not a big telly watcher either. I do like Jeopardy, but Im a secret nerd deep down. A now rare occasional movie on my laptop is preferred.

Did ya know "Game Of Thrones" is the most pirated TV show ever? It IS rather good, though.

Last night, I managed to totally avoid the endurance test called Eurovision, but it was all over the news this morning.

A friend advised that I check out a show called Grimm. I'm checking it out. So far it's ok, but it's no Walking Dead. I haven't caught any of Game of Thrones even though I loved the books.

Grimm is OK, but Once Upon A Time is much better

So... this started out about the amount of dross on telly...
BBC here are gonna close one o their channels... the "yoof" one that is, in general, a total insult to intelligence. It won't be missed... as long as Family Guy finds a new home.

I have a feeling in ten years we wont have TV's, but only computer monitors anyway.

Funny ye should say that... I mainly use my goggle box as a monitor... they new fangled sets have a multitude o connections.
Long way fae green typeface on a 14" screen to full HD colour on a LCD widescreen in not that many years!

An amazing number of people spend a lot of time watching television on their smart phones. Same with being online. There is speculation that phones and tablets will replace laptops and computers.

He's not my cup of tea, but I do confess to reading the books long before the movies came out.
