I had to wait til yesterday to BBQ the pork loin, but it sure was yummy. (now I just gotta figure out what to do with so dang much leftovers) ...and them pickles I made a little ways back... well.... lets just say they sure don't taste like they were made by someone who's never made pickles before. (almost done the first jar already)

Well, after all's said and done, (garden's bare now) I got nearly 2 dozen quarts of various pickles. For a first attempt... ...I was pleasantly surprised.

Gonna do bison burgers and fries tonight, but I'm likely not gonna bother with the BBQ this time. I just hafta zip to the store for some buns, and lettuce too since all mine's long gone. Last month I just started another half a dozen new Romaine lettuce plants in planters, which I'm gonna grow inside for the Winter (using windows and under a good light) but they're barely breaking the soil right now.

.....in the fridge and already looks pretty much thawed this morning, so looks like a green light for tomorrow. Now I'm just snooping for a good stuffing recipe as the last one I tried was kinda mediocre. (where's our kitchen aficionado, tizz, when a person really needs her )

My daughter and I celebrated Thanksgiving last night, as she had to work today. So we had chicken, stuffing, turnip, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and apple crisp for dessert! Very tasty and lots of fun too!

sorry I wasn't around to help you out grey. I cheat a little when it comes to stuffing. I start with that tube of sausage meat... fry that up, add in a couple small onions diced, 2-3 carrots peeled and grated, 2-4 stalks celery leafy tops and all diced, 1 clove garlic. cook that down for a bit. Then I add in a double pack of Mrs Cubbison's seasoned stuffing mix and, some extra whole grain bread cubed and, staled. Then add in chicken stock to moisten everything 2-3 cups depending on how much more bread is added/how big the turkey is... sometimes I also add a little extra seasoning. A combination of any or all: parsley, sage, rosemary and, thyme a pinch each with a healthy dose of fresh ground pepper :) (or just a little extra poultry seasoning)

done already ps for dinner tonight I roasted some small spuds and, some diced yams; topped that with warmed up dressing, turkey meat, cheese and, gravy... Thanksgiving poutine! lol Next time though I need to remember yams take far less time than the potatoes; it was still tasty though!

Hmmmm..... Thanksgiving poutine sounds like a great idea actually, and I probably have at least a quart/liter of awesome turkey gravy left. A sack of fresh spuds from my garden too. (I think I know what's for supper tonight )
