I love garlic and it's really healthy. A good snack I mix into various trail-mix concoctions is Goji-berries. They're actually wolfberries, but they got exploited in that goji juice scandal (to be avoided BTW, unless ya wanna buy fruit cocktail that's mainly pear juice for ridiculous prices) a few years back. Another thing I swear by is echinacea for when it seems I can't quite shake something without medicine. It's still only herbal, but it's like a shot of nitrous for your body's own immune system.

Local honey and bee pollen are also great for health... and lessening the effects of seasonal allergies. :)

Really nice lass too.. got a couple o camping chairs off her through freecycle! Managed to give her a wee tip... if you're ever looking for veggie or vegan wines, try the co-op. Here's a quick list: www.veggiewines.co.uk/cooperative.htm

I can't drink wine anymore. My body doesn't like it. Oddly enough the only thing I can drink these days is Baileys, which on a vibrational level is waaaayyyyy down there, but it's the only stuff that doesn't make my skin itch.

Kinda strange... but I suppose ye stick to the brand name... some o the other cream liqueurs use fortified wines as the alcoholic bit. Bailey's only uses Irish whiskey. All the years as a drunkards' labourer finally proved useful for trivial shite! Anyways, did ye know that soya beans contain a third more iron than spinach? If ye're an anaemic veggie, get more soya in yer diet!

Here's an easy tip that WILL save you money AND be more healthy.
Get your fruit n veg from local markets. Price promises by supermarket chains are a fuckin con. They compare only with each other and are NOT cheap. I load up on fruit n veg at my local Saturday market.... the produce stall aye has a huge queue too.
Support local shops. You would be surprised that the wee corner shop is often cheaper than the big boys.... n no fuel costs to get there.
I'm lucky, in a way. Yeah, I'm in a city, but on the edge of it. I have a wide range of local shops cos where I am was a village that was bigger and richer than Glasgow town

An Irish creme ya might try (I find notably superior to Bailey's anyhoo) is Carolans. - www.carolans.ie/carolans/faqs.asp It has far more flavor. ...and on the produce front, I like the idea of growing as much stuff on my own as is reasonably possible. I'm working away in my garden a fair bit today. Even in close confines a bit can still be done for oneself. A simple compost is also of notable value. Not only for one's own rich soil. but also helping to slow landfill needs.
