Went to find a beautiful version of this classic to post in Songs that make you cry, but found this and had no idea he ever recorded it!

I never cared for the Presidents of whatever version so here's the original
Ian Hunter - Cleveland Rocks (1979)

My favorite cover version is By The Supremes and The Four Tops. Great lead vocals from Jean Terrell and Levi Stubbs.

I've always liked the original as well, but this cover is fairly uncommon-
I enjoy hearing either version but The Who's original is almost the only one played

How about this remake of The Doors biggest hit?
This is Aretha Franklin's older and very underrated sister.

Another of my favorites from The Supremes that was also left in the vaults. It was supposed to be on an album that was shelved called "Promises Kept" (1971). It's also only on the 70s Anthology which I have in my collection. Jean Terrell had some big shoes to fill after Diana Ross went solo.
Never Can Say Goodbye - The Supremes - 1971
Oh, I never can say goodbye No, I never can say goodbye Even though the pain and heartaches Seems to follow me wherever I go Thought I tried and tried to hide my feelings They always seem to show Then you try to say you're leaving me And I always had to say no Tell me why (tell me why) is it so?
No, I never can say goodbye Oh oh, never can say goodbye Every time I think I've had enough And start headed for the door There's a very strange vibration Piercing me right to the core It says, "turn around, you fool You know you love him more and more and more and more (Tell me why) is it so? I can't let you go
Never can say goodbye I just can't let you go Never can say goodbye, no, no, no, oh baby Never can say goodbye I just can't say goodbye (Never can say goodbye) ooh
Never can say goodbye No, no, no I Never can say goodbye
I know all our problems Sooner all gonna work out But there's that same unhappy feeling There's that anguish, there's that doubt It's the same old dizzy hang-up Can't live with him, can't live without Tell me why (tell me why) is it so? Don't wanna let you go
I never can say goodbye Never can say goodbye, no no no No no no, no-no-no, oh baby I never can say goodbye Never can say goodbye

Once again, I've long been a fan of the originals.
This looks like it would have been a pretty good show to see though

I have a wonderful soulful remake of an old song recorded by Etta James. I could only find lyrics from her version. There could be differences in the way this cover was done.
Sunday Kind Of Love - Honey & The Bees - 1969
I want a Sunday kind of love A love to last past Saturday night And I'd like to know it's more than love at first sight And I want a Sunday kind of love Oh yea yea I want a a love that's on the square Can't seem to find somebody Someone to care And I'm on a lonely road that leads to no where I need a Sunday kind of love I do my Sunday dreaming, oh yea And all my Sunday scheming Every minute, every hour, every day Oh I'm hoping to discover A certain kind of lover Who will show me the way And my arms need someone Someone to enfold To keep me warm when Mondays and Tuesdays grow cold Love for all my life to have and to hold Oh and I want a Sunday kind of love Oh yea yea yea I don't want a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, or Thursday, Friday or Saturday Oh nothing but Sunday oh yea I want a Sunday Sunday I want a Sunday kind of love Oh yea Sunday, Sunday, Sunday kind of love

The original is one of my absolute favourites of all time, but alas, Heart does total justice to this classic....

^ Nice cover never heard before, bug. Thank you.
Stuck on this classic again today, so beautiful and written by Ewan MacColl. Sung by so many, so posting two versions, one here and one in Songs that make you cry, Both are covers.

Another great cover of Light My Fire. Sounds more like a Bond theme.
